Whereas many firms have a reputation for never going to court – seeking quick (and often below-value) out-of-court settlements – at our firm, that is not the case. Indeed, we are well known in the local courthouses. Since our firm's establishment, our lawyers have been engaged in the practice of personal injury, maritime, and admiralty law.

Our attorneys would be more than happy to provide a list of client references so that you can discuss our abilities with them. We have obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients throughout the Gulf Coast region. We can help you obtain compensation for medical bills, rehabilitation costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Schedule your case evaluation today.

Our Paralegals, Investigators and Office Staff The staff members of The Young Firm form the backbone of the office.  We are very proud of our staff, not only because of the extensive experience they have in handling maritime and injury claims but also for the caring and personal attention they give to each client.  We can honestly say that they understand how important each client's case is to that client.  They know how to prepare and organize a maritime or injury case for trial and they regularly help prepare dozens of such cases for trial each year. The Young Firm's supportive staff of legal assistants, law clerks and office managers are here to serve you. If you have been seriously injured in a boating or maritime accident, contact The Young Firm. We assist victims throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, so a boating accident and admiralty lawyer is here to carefully evaluate your claim and help you obtain the compensation to which you are entitled.

Our Staff

Shanon Office Administrator

Our office administrator, Shanon, joined the firm in 2010, continuing a career in the legal arena that has spanned 17 years and counting. She enjoys working in concert with Mr. Young to cultivate and empower each individual member of The Young Firm’s team, creating a diverse but unified staff with a focus on reaching the highest potential of both themselves and their office. When not at the office, Shanon most enjoys quality time with her family: her husband Brian and three children Hayley, Amy, and Cameron. She also enjoys traveling and entertaining guests, as well as studying personal development, leadership, and achievement.

Lea' Case & Finance Director

Lea, the firm’s Case and Finance Director, has enjoyed working with Tim Young for more than 15 years. While she is responsible for all of the office’s bookkeeping, Lea’s most important duty is working with Tim to provide clients with new cases important information and set them at ease by answering their questions and addressing their concerns. For more than 20 years, she has been married to her husband Joe and raised two amazing children: Beaux and Ellie. A New Orleans native, Lea feels blessed to have been born and raised in a city steeped in the culture of Southern hospitality. She and Joe are diehard fans of the Saints and Tigers, and can often be found tailgating and attending whatever New Orleans festival is currently happening with their family and friends.

Lise Case Manager

Lise, Tim Young’s Case Manager, has been in the legal field for almost 20 years. Lise was born in Chandler, Arizona, but she followed her father, who served in the United States Air Force, all around our great country, eventually attending the University of New Orleans and graduating in 2001. Outside of the office, Lise volunteers with Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO), helping to re-home thousands of animals. While not rescuing dogs and cats, she enjoys taking vacations with her husband and spending time with her three dogs: Dino, Speckles, and Gen.

Rebecca Case Manager

Rebecca serves as the Case Manager for Megan Misko, and has been managing legal cases for more than 20 years. As a certified paralegal, Rebecca has worked for both sides of the courtroom — plaintiff and defense firms — but finds working with The Young Firm exceptionally rewarding because of our great staff and shared goal of focusing on our clients. Rebecca is a New Orleans native and, along with her husband, are proud parents of two wonderful girls: Madeline and Caroline. They share their home with a rat terrier named Tyke and a cat named Tiana. When she’s not managing cases, Rebecca’s favorite pastimes are relaxing with friends and family, baking, attending Madeline and Caroline’s sports games, and sampling new restaurants throughout New Orleans.

Paige Client Development Director

As The Young Firm’s Client Development Director, Paige helps with creation and distribution of the firm’s informational materials. In addition, she is the Coordinator for MAPS, the firm’s merchant mariner scholarship program. Paige was born and raised in New Orleans, and loves to attend its concerts and festivals, window shop on Magazine Street, and of course, visit as many restaurants as possible. Outside the office, Paige dabbles in recipes and crafts she finds on Pinterest, participates in group exercise classes, and plays with her four (yes, four!) Dachshunds: Oscar, Minnie, Shemp, and Zena.

Bethany Webmaster & Content Curator

Bethany is The Young Firm’s Webmaster & Content Curator, overseeing the firm’s web and social media presence as well as helping with its informational materials. A Texas native, Bethany came to New Orleans and attended the University of New Orleans, graduating at the top of her class with honors in 2011. She has been with the firm for over 5 years and finds collaborating with her coworkers to be the most rewarding aspect of her job. In her free time, Bethany writes, draws & illustrates, rides bikes, and plays basketball and video games. She is an avid student of professional and personal development, and enjoys fantasy and sci-fi books as well.

Kim Medical Coordinator

As our Medical Coordinator and asbestos matter liaison, Kim has been managing the firm’s medical records and working with its clients to schedule medical diagnosis and treatment appointments for over two years. Kim is a New Orleanian since birth, and has two daughters — Annabel and Katie — and one grandchild, Sarah. They have a rescue cat named Luna and an adorable guinea pig named Craig. Kim’s most cherished time is spent with Annabel, Katie, and Sarah, and she also enjoys reading, watching old movies, and walks with her good friend, Raquel.

Andrea Records Manager

The Young Firm’s Records Manager, Andrea has worked in a variety of fields, including counseling, sales, and front desk management, providing a unique and useful set of skills for her current position. Her favorite part about working with the firm is its positive, inviting atmosphere. Born and raised in Marrero, Louisiana, Andrea and her husband have two children. She loves spending time with loved ones, watching movies, and following her media gossip…as well as “learning” to cook.

Joy Front Office Manager

Our Front Office Manager, Joy, has worked in many diverse fields, including medical recordkeeping, sales, and front desk management. Her favorite part about The Young Firm is how it feels like one big, extended family. But her love for her job is just one aspect of Joy! Born in New Orleans and raised in Belle Chasse, LA, Joy and her husband have four children: Evan, Layla, Aria, and Sage. Beyond the office, Joy lives for fishing, “just because” family get-togethers, and going to the movies. Her favorite pastimes include cleaning, catching up on her TV shows, and…more cleaning.
